This will help you gain an understanding of breathwork, how breathing works, why you breathe the way you do, and how breathing impacts your body, brain, thoughts, emotions – your life, and much more.

We will be busting some myths and misconceptions and providing you with key nuggets of information, that will raise many ‘ah haa’ moments whilst reading it. A basic understanding will most certainly assist you in your breathing journey, so let’s dive in.

Have you ever stopped and thought about why, and how you breathe?

There is so much more to breathing than you may think. In fact, the way in which we breathe is the key to the quality of life and can either be giving you energy or taking energy away from you.

 

For most of us breathing rarely crosses our mind as something to explore further, until we perhaps have to. It's just something that happens and any awareness of breathing is neglected, even forgotten over time. Which, if you think about it, is baffling as it is the most crucial function of the human body that keeps us alive and well, so, why aren't we giving it more attention?

 

Today, the stress from modern-day living means that our breathing has become uneasy and restless, our body automatically changes how we breathe, and we start to breathe faster, shallower and into the upper chest area, in turn, causing us to experience more stress, anxiety, overwhelm, a variety of physical and mental health conditions and much more.

 

The great news is that with advancements in science and extensive research, we know that we can change this and positively influence our mental and physical wellbeing by consciously taking hold of our breathing. The Social Breathwork will help you understand more and teach you how to use your breathing to beat stress, reduce anxiety and feel back in sync with your body and mind.
